Tuesday is Remembrance Day, a time to honour the nation’s veterans and reflect on the many Canadians who lost their lives fighting for our country. Nov. 11 marks 106 years since the end of the First World War, which saw 6K Victorians—17% of the population at the time—enlist to fight.
Canadian soldiers have been called upon in many wars, conflicts, and peace missions since and across the city, ceremonies and events will be held to remember their sacrifices.
From cenotaph ceremonies and parades to music and hands-on activities, there are plenty of ways to observe the day.
